Scuola finita, mezza primavera in arrivo, sembrerebbe il tempo giusto per produrre della musica. Ecco a voi l’ennesima permutazione di Universe, un testo di Carl Sagan estratto dall’introduzione di A brief history of time di Stephen Hawking (versione audiobook), che girovaga nei miei hard disc da un bel po’. La musica ha una genesi bizzarra: il loop di base (rallentato rispetto all’originale) è tratto da un video, e appartiene a un genere che non saprei come definire se non “techno pakistana”. Basso e (due) chitarre sono suonati a mano, e nell’assolo (eh sì, anche i migliori di noi hanno delle debolezze, figuriamoci io) c’è una citazione di L’elefante bianco, brano strepitoso degli Area con un lick di chitarra impossibile, che ho speso parte della mia adolescenza a imparare, e che mi sembrava fatica sprecata non utilizzare (Grazie Paolo Tofani).
