Un paio di settimane fa, anche sull’onda di una catena di S. Antonio su Facebook (pubblicare le copertine di dieci dischi vecchi, essenziali, importanti, ecc. ascoltati ancora oggi), ho pensato di creare copertine di album che non esistono ma dovrebbero (hashtag #copertineimmaginarie #dischipotenziali). Le chiavi sono molte: dischi ridicoli, surreali o sarcastici, ma anche album che sarebbe davvero bellissimo avere, come il tredicesimo disco in studio dei Beatles o la leggendaria mancata collaborazione tra Miles Davis e Jimi Hendrix. A couple of weeks ago, partly inspired by a Facebook game (post the covers of old, important, essential, etc. albums you still listen to), I created some covers of records that don’t exist, but really should (hashtags #imaginarycovers #potentialalbums). I followed different approaches: surreal or satirical albums and collaborations (some understandable only if you know the Italian music scene), but also records that would be great to hear, like the Beatles’ 13th studio album, or the legendary session with Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix, that almost happened, but didn’t.
