I&#8217;m italian, 49, and this is my first time in the US. I&#8217;m in beautiful Chicago since january 5th as a visiting artist at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saic.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">SAIC<\/a>, where I have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sergiomessina.com\/saic\/index.html\">Topics Class on pornography<\/a>, and especially the type of porn I call <a href=\"http:\/\/realcore.radiogladio.it\/\" target=\"_self\">Realcore<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sergiomessina.com\/bio.html\">What I do<\/a> as an artist is sound, music and performance. I believe that art should be urgent and dangerous, and I call my pieces <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sergiomessina.com\/text\/statement.html\" target=\"_self\">social sculptures<\/a> after a definition by one of my favorite artists, Joseph Beuys. I have an italian blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiogladio.it\/fosforo\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fosforo<\/a>, but being in an english speaking country, I feel I should have a place to talk about things I feel are relevant, interesting, incongrous or just plainly funny in a language people would understand outside Italy.
