LM explores the many unexpected possibilities of an apparently very rigid form: one font (capital Arial Black) and three colors (red, black and white). In the videos, only three types of transition are employed: push, wipe and (in one case) crossfade. Both the construction of the original images and the video editing are based on the relationship between shape and meaning. In most instances the visual rhythm is subordinated to the sound (except in one case). Some of the videos require frontal viewing, while others are devised as installations. A few of the videos are in italian, the rest are in english (or translatable) - one is in sanskrit.

The aesthetic references are animated marquees, Karaoke, Street Writing, 1984 and the concept of consensus-creating media plus of course Constructivism. LM is devised to be effective in different environments, from traditional galleries to the public space and the web.

The prints are remixes from video frames in which, because of the dimensions (cm 160 x 90 or 80 x 45), the stratification and explosion of the letters becomes visible.

Some of the LM audio fragments have been surfacing in my sound works for the past 25 years. LM finally allows me to publish very short sound bits, unedited and ungarnished, framing them in an "object" that underlines their meaning.

LM esplora le molte, inaspettate possibilità di una forma assai rigida: un carattere (Arial Black maiuscolo), tre colori (bianco, nero e rosso). Nei video vengono utilizzate tre sole transizioni: push, wipe e (in un caso) crossfade. Sia la costruzione delle immagini originali che il montaggio si basano sul rapporto tra significato e forma. In molti casi naturalmente il ritmo visivo è legato al suono (mentre in un caso è vero il contrario). Alcuni dei video sono pensati per una fruizione frontale mentre altri hanno un impianto da installazione. Qualcuno è in italiano, altri in inglese - uno in sanscrito.

I riferimenti estetici sono le insegne animate, il Karaoke, il Writing, 1984 e in generale l'idea di una televisione del consenso (più ovviamente il Costruttivismo). LM è pensato per esistere in diverse situazioni espositive, dalla galleria tradizionale allo spazio pubblico al web.

Le stampe sono rielaborazioni di frame dei video nelle quali, date le dimensioni, è molto più visibile la scomposizione dei caratteri tramite stratificazione e differenza.

Alcuni dei frammenti audio di LM li ho già utilizzati in varie tracce sonore prodotte negli ultimi 25 anni. LM finalmente mi consente di pubblicare schegge audio molto brevi, integralmente e senza aggiunte, incorniciandole in un oggetto che le contiene e ne sottolinea il senso.
